The freehold is being offered for sale through agents Everard Cole seeking offers in the region of £250,000. We understood an offer was received as at June 2026 from a buyer who intended to run it as a free house. However, a planning application has been submitted for change of use to a convenience store.

We supported the London Road Community Alliance in their campaign to raise awareness of the potential loss of the pub and over 320 objections were received.

An application for the pub to be registered as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) was previously refused by Canterbury City Council.
